Reelio, acquired by Fullscreen, was a SaaS marketplace platform that helped brands connect with influencers.

Opportunity

To increase the number of high-quality sales leads team from our blog—which was growing in traffic.

Approach

Asking our sales teams in 1:1 exploratory interviews to understand seasonally, what our audience was asking for help with. My research led us to an overlooked topic that wasn’t being addressed in the market: the timeline/plan outline of an influencer campaign.

Results

In partnership with AEs, I created an article and a Google Sheets template anyone could copy & paste showcasing the operational stages for a successful Influencer Marketing Campaign.

  • The resource and article I created generated a 47% CTR on 1,500 views, making it the best asset for new, high-quality sales leads.

  • The term “influencer marketing plan” became a ranking keyword in our industry.

Learnings

While there was some initial concern that the subject wasn’t friendly enough for SEO (important for a small marketing team), we decided to test it and saw that even if a subject isn’t initially an SEO opportunity, it can become one if it correctly addresses audience needs.

Competitors started to create their own versions after it was published.
